We provide an outlet for local student, amateur and professional musicians to rehearse and perform together.  All concerts are free to the public.  Some of our performances are in conjunction with city of Highlands Ranch events such as their annual Summer Ice Cream Social and Veteran's Day Ceremony.  We also collaborate with local school or adult choirs for performances.  We have both a concert band and a small jazz ensemble called Swing Shift.

Mission

The mission of the Highlands Ranch Concert Band is to provide quality, educational public concerts with a variety of musical literature; to promote an educational experience for both the musicians and the public attending the concerts; to provide band and ensemble musical arts and entertainment for this area; to provide education and entertainment experiences for the children of the region through collaborative performances and entertainment events, and to promote a spirit of community, thereby enhancing the quality of life in the region.

Background Statement

Highlands Ranch Concert Band was established in 2001 by a clarinetist who wanted to create a community of other adult amateur musicians who wanted to make music. At first, middle school and high school directors helped shape the band. Today our membership includes over 85 musicians and 3 conductors from the south metro area of Denver, Colorado.
