The International School of Denver is the oldest international school in the Rocky Mountain region, and through the test of time, we remain the most unique of international schools.

As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, we adhere to IB approaches to teaching that are developed in local and global contexts, focused on conceptual understanding, based on inquiry, focused on effective teamwork and collaboration, designed to remove barriers to learning, and informed by assessment.  

Likewise, our IB approaches to learning incorporate thinking skills, research skills, communication skills, social skills, and self-management skills.  As IB learners, we strive to be inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, principled, open-minded, communicators, risk takers, balanced, reflective and caring.  

Our accreditations and memberships fulfill the highest educational standards of the United States, including the French Ministry of National Education, the Spanish Ministry of Education, and the Hanban Confucius Institute affiliated with the Chinese Ministry of Education, as well as the Association for the Advancement of International Education, Association of Colorado Independent Schools, International Baccalaureate World School and the National Association of Independent Schools.

Gifts made to the International School of Denver may qualify for full certification for the Colorado Child Care Tax Credit.
