Support music education in Colorado by donating to The Jared Music Foundation. We find the most deserving K-12 students in Longmont and Boulder and award scholarships in the amount of $1000 to $1500, enabling these kids to take lessons at the music school of their choice.
At The Jared Music Foundation, our intention is to shape young minds through music education, exposing students in need to the dynamic and impactful feelings of creating and experiencing music, by expanding access to music education and by coming together over music and art in honor and celebration of Jared.
Founded in 2017 to keep his drum beat going, we started this organization in memory of Jared Lizakowski, a drummer who passed in October of 2016. We honor him and his passion for music with each scholarship awarded.
Now in our 8th year, we have awarded 60+ students scholarships and have earnings of $100,000. In 2023 we were able to triple the number of scholarships awarded, and we partnered with Boulder Symphony and Music Academy. In October of 2023 we hired an Executive Director with a focus on funding and growth of our organization forward. 2024 is going to be a great year for us.
Our goal is to meet the needs of the communities we serve and put an instrument in the hands of all those who desire to learn. Demand has been high and our waitlist long. Help us clear the waitlist this year.
