Kids Mobility Network provides a resource for children with disabilities to attain Complex Rehabilitation Technology (CRT) and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) such as wheelchairs, standers, and many other pieces of medical equipment. The Organization serves as an alternative to traditional insurance for under-insured or uninsured families to acquire CRT/DME that provides greater safety, mobility, & independence as well as an optimal method of accessing the communities in which they live. Our goal is to provide medical equipment to families that do not have the resources to acquire the appropriate CRT/DME for their child(ren).

Kids Mobility Network, Inc. ("Kids Mobility" or the "Organization") provides a resource for children with disabilities and their families to attain Durable Medical Equipment (DME). The Organization serves as an alternative to traditional insurance for under-insured or uninsured families to acquire DME that provides recipients with greater safety, mobility, & independence as well as an optimal method of accessing the communities in which they live.
It is the goal of the Organization to provide DME to families that do not have the resources to acquire the appropriate DME for their child(ren) in need. While many children go without the appropriate DME, other equipment sits idle, collecting dust in the many basements, garages and storage facilities across the state. Kids Mobility is matching DME to children to optimize the useful life of this very important and costly equipment.
Christina and Peter Kopp are the co-founders of Kids Mobility Network, Inc. and the parents of a young adult girl with disabilities. The Kopps, understand the medical equipment situation well. Their daughter's physical needs include a number of devices to optimize her safety, mobility, and independence. The use of appropriate medical equipment is critical to her mobility, but is also a catalyst to social interaction with her peers. As all children do, she has outgrown walkers, wheelchairs and other equipment that was perfectly adequate to meet her needs - just too small for her. The Kopps, like many families, purchased additional equipment at great expense to accommodate their daughter's specific needs, leaving the old equipment to collect dust. There are many, many families that have the same story. While she received new equipment, some families do not have the insurance coverage to attain the appropriate CRT/DME. More and more families are uninsured or under-insured as health insurance rates climb rapidly and companies reduce benefits to combat the immense rate increases.
The Kopps established Kids Mobility Network in 2005 to serve children with disabilities and their families. Since inception, the Organization has placed over $7,000,000 of medical equipment with families across Colorado and beyond.
Currently the Organization is in need of additional funding to continue its great work and meet the growing demand for its services. Kids Mobility Network has served 70% more families this year compared to last year, so funding is required to serve the large growth in clientele.
