Kyffin Elementary PTA

A nonprofit organization

Kyffin PTA's primary role is in advocacy, however we also have the unique ability to offer budgetary support and help fill the gaps created by insufficient funding at the district and state level. This is possible thanks to the generous support and monetary help from people like you!

Testimonials

The Kyffin PTA's financial contributions to the school allow our administration to retain as many staff positions as possible and therefore keep classroom size as low as possible.
School Program Support by PTA:
Educational Support (Teacher trainings and substitutes so teachers can go to the trainings, etc.)
Curriculum Support (textbooks, workbooks, Second Step Social/Emotional Curriculum, etc.)
Classroom Support (Teacher supplies, books, special events/enrichment, etc.)
Technology Support (Desktops, laptops, tablets, smart boards, overhead projectors, fees & licenses, etc.)
Building & Equipment Support (improvements or upgrades that wouldn't be covered by the district)
In addition to helping offset some of the school's necessary expenditures, we also host/sponsor MOST of the community events, programs, and activities offered at Kyffin throughout the year. These PTA sponsored events and activities are also creating parent/family engagement through multiple volunteer opportunities.

Background Statement

Kyffin Elementary School PTA was founded with the support of the National PTA with the goal of supporting and advocating for our children at school. PTA's process for building successful partnerships starts with the National Standards for Family-School Partnerships and consists of three steps:

1. Raising awareness about the power of family and community involvement.

2. Taking action to cultivate involvement through specific programs and practices.

3. Celebrating success as your school sees increased involvement and its impact.

Kyffin PTA has successfully functioned under this model since its inception.
