Leadership Golden serves the Golden community as an educational and networking organization, which provides a foundation for volunteerism, leadership, understanding and participation in all types of community service.
Background Statement
Leadership Golden was created in 1984 through efforts of the Chamber of Commerce and concerned citizens. Community education and leadership classes were created to promote Golden citizens to get involved in issues and functions of local government and recruit leaders and volunteers. Leadership Golden formed an alumni association in 1986 and was granted IRS 501 (c) 3 tax-exempt status. Alumni and other community leaders have operated the programs ever since as volunteers.
