As a trusted and established 501(c)(3), we serve as a fiscal sponsor for our projects, providing insurance coverage, tax preparation, grant solicitation support, fundraising, and marketing. This allows our projects to direct their limited time and resources toward their programmatic goals.
For 25+ years, Mancos Valley Resources has served as an incubator for grassroots projects in the Mancos Valley.
As the Town's only fiscal pass-through sponsor, we provide projects with key administrative and financial support. This enables them to devote their limited time and resources to their missions, which support the needs of the Mancos Valley and the surrounding Community.
Because we deeply understand the needs and assets of the Mancos Valley, we are currently collaborating with our 13 projects and dozens of donors and volunteers to ensure our community continues to thrive.
Mancos Valley Resources is a community-based non-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization dedicated to preserving and enhancing the cultural, historical, recreational, educational, and charitable assets of the Mancos Valley. Mancos Valley Resources accomplishes its mission by supporting and sponsoring the efforts of community members to meet defined needs through grants and other funding sources.
Mancos Valley Resources (MVR) was originally established in conjunction with Mancos Valley Association (MVA) to support grassroots community efforts and distribute charitable funds. In 1998, MVR branched off from MVA and established its own charter. At this time MVR also pursued and received 501(c)(3) status under the Internal Revenue Code. Since 1998, MVR has supported dozens of charitable organizations in the Mancos Valley.
