Merely Players is Durango's most long-standing theatre company, with an established reputation for theatrical excellence. We offer exciting , professional-quality theatrical experiences with the lively creativity, joyful energy, memorable design, fine scripts, and outstanding talent that our company is known for.
As is the case with non-profit theatres across the nation, ticket sales account for only 50% of our needs. Your kindness helps us keep high-quality theatre in our small town. We are honored to receive your support.
In the belief that excellent theatre should not be an urban privilege, Merely Players is dedicated to our vision:
*To enrich the cultural life of our community by consistently providing quality theatre, as we broaden the range of theatrical experiences available to local theatergoers through relevant, exciting productions
*To nurture and provide opportunity for community and homegrown artists, as we celebrate imagination, innovation, and creativity in every aspect of our productions
*To foster collaborations with other local artists and groups
*To offer dynamic educational and outreach programs

Merely Players' commitment to high -quality theatre contributes to that vibrant environment. We began work in 1994 and became a non-profit in 1997.
