To enable and support high school students in technology, engineering and entrepreneurship with experiences and community.
The founder started Monumental Impact on her experience as a small business technology professional that worked from home. She was not able to find a place to meet outside of her home and offer to high school students projects that utilized python coding and artificial intelligence (AI) for her business. Based on this experience and a desire to broaden the types of technology, engineering and entrepreneurial experiences Monumental Impact was established.
With an emphasis on technology, engineering and entrepreneurship as our mission access to a workspace and makerspace is critical to providing these types of experiences to students. Without a workspace with access to laptops and internet project teams are not enabled to collaborate and work together. Without a makerspace with supplies, tools and equipment to make things and a workspace to assemble things interns and robotics teams can not explore a variety of products (even robots), services or events that they would like to offer and build. Each of these types of workspaces provide a broad range of experiences for students to explore and gain industry skills in an informal learning environment.
