Background Statement

In the realm of motocross, longstanding friends Davey Gonzales and Aaron Hill share a history rooted in the adrenaline-fueled world of off-road racing, having honed their skills together since childhood. However, the trajectory of their lives shifted dramatically in September 2008 during a motocross race when Aaron suffered a severe crash resulting in a broken back and subsequent paralysis.

Following a period of rehabilitation at Craig Hospital, Aaron made the significant decision to reside with Davey Gonzales. Drawing upon Aaron's background in machining and welding, coupled with Davey's mechanical expertise, the duo embarked on a collaborative venture to engineer an adaptive dirt bike. This undertaking was driven by Aaron's unyielding determination to return to motocross, with the sole condition that his inaugural ride post-injury be at the very track where the life-altering incident had occurred. The venture culminated in the establishment of the Motodemption foundation, a name symbolic of Aaron's pursuit of redemption through motocross.

Since its inception, Motodemption has become the focal point of Davey and Aaron's commitment to affording individuals who have sustained life-changing injuries an opportunity to ride a motorcycle and experience a form of redemption. The foundation transcends a mere charitable initiative, embodying a mission to empower individuals to overcome adversity through the rehabilitative and transformative power within the adaptive community.
