We raise money to support environmental health student scholarships. These resources reduce student debt, which in turn make it possible for new graduates to work in modestly paid local government jobs, as opposed to having to secure large salaries in the for-profit sector to service student loans.

Summer Holloway is a graduate of Simpson University with a BS in Biology, (magna cum laude) and is currently enrolled at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas majoring in Environmental and Occupational Health. She has maintained a 4.0 average during her first year in graduate school and expects to graduate in the fall of 2021. Summer is a member of NEHA and the Nevada Environmental Health Association and has been employed by the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) as an EHS since 2017 in the Food Operations office of the Environmental Health Department. Summer earned her REHS Credential in 2020. She is a Core Trainer for SNHD Food Operations Henderson Office and was the Secretary for the Nevada Food Safety Task Force. After graduating with her MPH, she intends to stay at SNHD and hopes to work in other environmental health areas such as vector control, solid waste compliance, and aquatic health. Summer has been described as one who displays great talents in communication, teamwork, dependability, and initiative, and understands the importance of professional growth. It was stated that Summer has a mastery of key concepts of environmental health such as population dynamics, sustainability, and risk assessment that will equip her to be able to contribute significantly to our profession and to make a difference to her community.
Connor Henderson is a student at Western Carolina University (WCU) with a major in Environmental Health and Art and expects to graduate with a B.S. in May of 2021. She has maintained a 4.0 average during her first 3 years of college. Connor has been employed at the WCU Bardo Arts Center since August of 2019 where she monitors the building for safety and compliance with fire marshal rules. She is a member of the Environmental Health Club and the University Honors College at WCU and is an Ambassador for the Honor's College. After graduating, Connor wants to attend graduate school to earn her MPH degree concentrating on Environmental Health and eventually working as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist. Her interest is in water quality and onsite wastewater treatment with its potential impact on groundwater. She wants to eventually become a Director of an Environmental Health Department. Connor has been described as one who excels at integrating her strong academic background and experience with her intellectual curiosity and motivation to accomplish her objective of pursuing a career in environmental health. Connor's attention to detail and the unique creativity that she brings to her classes in environmental health makes her stand out among her peers.
