Since 1966, The Nature Conservancy has been working in Colorado toward the future we envision: a future with a livable climate, healthy communities and thriving nature. To date, we have conserved more than 1.6 million acres of land throughout the state, protected over 1,300 miles of rivers and streams, and restored more than 16,000 acres of forests. We are focused on protecting land and water, providing food and water sustainably, tackling climate change and helping make cities more sustainable.

Our science-based, collaborative approach has enabled us to protect and restore critical ecosystems and species in Colorado while connecting more people with nature. We work in all corners of the state and beyond, bringing people together to find common ground and create innovative solutions that work for both people and nature.

Thank you for joining us on this journey and for your generosity that makes our work possible. Visit nature.org/colorado to learn more about our work protecting the lands and waters on which all life depends.

Mission

The Colorado way of life revolves around the natural beauty, clean water, agricultural heritage, outdoor recreation, and awe-inspiring landscapes that draw in visitors and residents alike. As the environment faces increasing challenges from climate change and biodiversity loss, it is clear that the nature we depend on, depends on us.

Our mission is to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends.

Our vision is a world where the diversity of life thrives, and people act to conserve nature for its own sake and its ability to fulfill our needs and enrich our lives.
