The National Institute for Medical Assistant Advancement (NIMAA) equips medical assistants with the skills to excel and address critical primary care shortages. We focus on providing accessible, affordable education to create a stronger healthcare workforce.

Medical assistants are a critical part of the patient care team. They are the first person a patient sees when they come to the clinic, and they do a lot of behind the scenes work for the patient and provider. MAs complete a wide range of tasks from clinical skills such as taking vitals, drawing blood, or running clinical tests to administrative work such as pre-visit planning, calling patients with test results, or managing health records.

Your Impact: Where Your Support Goes

  1. Student Scholarships: Supporting students with tuition assistance to meet their financial needs.
  2. Student Emergency Fund: Providing support for unforeseen life challenges (e.g., childcare needs, family emergencies, transportation, food assistance).
  3. Essential Equipment for Students: Your support provides students access to critical tools like laptops and high-speed internet, empowering them to succeed in their learning.

NIMAA's Impact

  • High Success Rates: 71% graduation rate, 80% certification pass rate, and 75% job placement rate for graduates.
  • Commitment to Diversity: Reflecting our dedication to inclusivity, 53% of students identify as Hispanic/Latino, 13% as Black/African American, and 93% of graduates identify as female, among other represented communities.
  • Affordable Education: Quality education should be accessible, which is why the program cost half of a traditional for-profit MA program and offers financial aid through scholarships and tuition assistance.

"NIMAA has truly taught me so much and has truly helped me grow as a person. It has especially taught me that I can accomplish anything I set my mind to. I have always loved helping others and thanks to everything I have learned throughout this program I am now able to help others more than ever. NIMAA has encouraged me to believe in myself and has provided me with such a great start and I can't wait to see what lies ahead in my future." — Alumni testimonial
