Background Statement

For over a decade, AAK Elementary has been dedicated to serving Pre-K to 5th-grade students in Northern Colorado. Since our inception in 2006, we have been committed to fostering an environment that celebrates kindness, equity, inclusivity, and creativity.

Kindness: At the heart of our philosophy lies a profound belief in kindness as the foundation of all human interactions. We understand that cultivating kindness begins with nurturing an environment where every child feels seen, heard, and valued. Our core objective is to empower students with the skills to navigate personal boundaries and build healthy relationships, fostering mutual understanding and empathy. In times of conflict, we guide our students to approach with kindness, encouraging thoughtful dialogue and open communication, ultimately cultivating a culture of collaboration and peaceful resolution.
