As part of Operation Equine’s mission to provide excellent equine therapy services for our nation’s Warriors and Protectors, we have launched a unique program called the WARRIOR Pack Trip. This program combines the best of our organization’s talents with the benefits of experiential healing and wilderness therapy by integrating human connection, equine-assisted psychotherapy and learning, and the great outdoors for our Military, Veteran, and Emergency Responder communities.

Mission

At Operation Equine, we understand that committing to a life of service often creates complex challenges that can leave Military Service Members, Veterans, and Emergency Responders feeling disconnected from their families and communities. We facilitate unique, therapeutic experiences with horses that lead our participants to a deeper understanding of themselves, empowering them to cultivate healthier relationships and feel better.

In collaboration with various Military, Veteran, and First Responder organizations, we at Operation Equine are committed to:

Helping active military, veterans, first responders, and their families recognize the unique challenges that accompany the lifestyle that comes with a life of service while exploring healthier ways to face and cope with those challenges.

Improve communication with family members through a commitment to working through the past/present traumas. With a goal of shifting from “surviving” to working towards a positive and happier life.

Providing an impactful experience for civilian health care practitioners to achieve an increased level of military, veteran, and first responder cultural competence. Through cultural competency, the practitioner will be able to gain the experience needed to confidently and more powerfully serve their clients and families.

Providing relevant psycho-education and strategic tools to military service members, veterans, their spouses/partners, children, caregivers, and to civilian health care professionals. Increasing understanding, empathy, compassion, and integration through intentional education.

Background Statement

OUR VALUES

Military Service Members, Veterans, Emergency Responders, and Health Care Workers are experiencing unprecedented levels of stress, trauma, and isolation. This leads to feeling disconnected from our family and communities. When left unaddressed, this creates destructive, long-term consequences for our mental health and well-being.

We do not win a fight alone, and we do not heal alone. At Operation Equine, we facilitate unique therapeutic experiences with horses to help cultivate healthy relationships. When people commit to working with Operation Equine, life gets better.

We believe when people understand themselves fully, they are more likely to succeed at home, at work, and in their communities.

Integrity

We respect our participants’ time in service, and we are dedicated to providing an environment where you can depend on honesty and transparency.

Inclusivity

We deeply value and welcome all Military, Veteran, Emergency Responder, and Health Care Worker members and their families.

Honoring the Warrior Spirit

We honor the celebrations as well as the challenges of your service, and are mission-focused on serving our participants and their families with excellence.

Non-Judgment

We don’t assume. We know your story is unique, and like the horses, we commit to being present with our participants and their families wherever they are on their journey.
