Mission

Bringing hope and opportunity to the children of Gitombo B through Christ -centered education.

Background Statement

What started as a Father's dream to give his beloved village clean accessible water became a daughter's mission to transform the village of Gitombo-B, Kenya. In 2000, Wanjiru (Wanji) Mukunga traveled to the United States to study at Denver Seminary where she received a Masters in Divinity. Her thoughts traveled back to Gitombo and the idea of "Project Adopt an African Village" was born. She envisioned a ministry that did not not just provide clean water but improved the impoverished lives of the majority of people in Gitombo.

Since that time, PAAV International has embraced the whole community- beginning with the basics of clean water, food, jobs, books, bible study for the families and a thriving Christian elementary school that educates, empowers and encourages 124 Gitombo-B children.
