We believe no one should have to choose between their gender identity or sexual orientation and their spirituality.

Since 1979, Pikes Peak Metropolitan Community Church (PPMCC) has been a place of worship and vital, progressive, and inclusive LGBTQAI2S+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Asexual/Ally, Intersex, and 2 Spirit -Indigenous) spiritual community for all.
We also provide a much-needed LGBTQ2SI-owned building that serves as a hub for the queer community in Colorado Springs, a region often less-than-welcoming to the LGBTQI2S+ community. Aside from our weekly, hybrid worship services, we provide several opportunities for connection, as well as bible studies, spiritual direction, congregational care team, and small group programs.
Since the Club Q shooting on November 19, we have been actively providing space and support for the LGBTQI2S+ community. Thanks to the extremely generous community response, we hosted the Club Q Friendsgiving they would have had at the club. We stand against hate in all its forms, and actively work to support justice and equity for the LGBTQI2S+ community.
Our building provides and has provided a LGBTQAI2S+ friendly meeting space for support groups specifically for the Colorado Springs queer community, 75+ weekly 12-Step recovery meetings, community clothing drives, food pantry deliveries, planning for PRIDE events, a drop off site for donations for Westside Cares, Sober Happy Hours, Divine Image – a monthly community artist gathering to create art together, houses our Do Onto Others ministry that annually provides supplies as well as volunteers to install community gardens for low/no-income individuals/families on the Westside, and is an approved site for completion of community service hours for local criminal justice systems. We have become a beacon and leadership incubator for folx wanting to complete their ordination as well as complete internships for college credit. We are partnering with El Paso County Health Department to provide a community vaccination site.
PPMCC’s participation in Colorado Gives Day 2022 (CGD) is jump-starting our two-year Generosity Campaign. We have set a $65,000 goal for CGD to be earmarked for the remaining balance on our twenty-year-old $525,000 mortgage. If we are able to pay this mortgage off early, it will allow our Board of Directors and Pastor to utilize these much-needed funds each month to conduct deferred maintenance to our building, increase our outreach and ministries throughout the Pikes Peak region and beyond, increase our staff work hours, offer a paid stipend to band/sound/tech crew, and plan for implementation of a comprehensive children’s program with staff.
