We work on the ground to save the endangered black-footed ferret and other prairie species. Your support goes directly to benefit endangered black-footed ferrets.
Over the last several years, I have witnessed Travis Livieri and PWR work exceedingly hard on extremely limited funds to help save one of the most endangered mammals in North America. Not only does this organization and its leader work with great passion and sound science, but also works smartly and collaboratively with other organizations, agencies and individuals dedicated in the field of conservation. The black-footed ferret is still in existence today in part because of people like Travis and organizations like PWR. -- Mike F.
Prairie Wildlife Research does a fantastic job of stretching every dollar that is donated for maximum impact on the ground. I am amazed at the dedication of the PWR staff and volunteers. The work that they perform is arduous and makes a direct, hands-on impact on one of the most endangered mammals in North America. -- Karla S.
Prairie Wildlife Research Inc. is a terrific organization that works to save animals of the prairie. Many people don't realize the importance of species like the black-footed ferret, and PWR works to educate the public and government about that. In addition to education, people of PWR are out on the prairie, directly working to help the animals, be it spotlighting black-footed ferrets or whatever. I've had the honor of hearing Travis Livieri speak at several International Ferret Congress events. I even got to see some black-footed ferrets in person thanks to tours or presentations arranged by Travis. One of the best things about PWR is that it's a smaller organization that gets a LOT done and hasn't lost the human touch. The people who work for it are truly dedicated (and knowledgeable), and you can be confident that money donated goes to helping the animals. -- Marylou Z.
The mission of Prairie Wildlife Research is to conserve and research wildlife species of the prairies.
Prairie Wildlife Research was founded in 2001 as a creative and flexible partner to any entity interested in conservation of prairie species. Our work has taken us all over North America to partner with federal, state, tribal, non-profit, university, zoo and private landowners. We continue to be leaders in conservation of the endangered black-footed ferret.
