We are creating a world where women are taking ownership of their lives. Where all women are seen, heard, and valued through sharing power, giving back, and believing in themselves and each other.
Project I See You is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and women-powered movement that exists to see women take ownership of their lives. We believe in serving and being served, healing and being healed, seeing and being seen.
We do this through our 3 projects: Shared Power Initiative, Proyecto Te Veo and Te Veo House
- The Shared Power initiative supports women who are first-time homeowners and small business owners receive access to life-changing grants and a network of support. Our mission is clear—share the power! As a response to the pandemic, Project I See You launched the Shared Power Initiative in 2021. With the pandemic disproportionately affecting women and women of color, we started with the goal of raising $10K for 10 women who would not otherwise be able to own their own home or keep their business open. We not only met our initial goal, but have continued to double it each year since!
- In collaboration with Open Door Ministries, Te Veo House helps women in crisis receive short-term, transitional housing to get back on their feet. In 2019, Project I See You raised funds to remodel a stately, historic home in Central Denver to become a new lifeline for women coming off the street and out of incarceration or sex trafficking. In keeping with our work in the Dominican Republic, the house was named, Te Veo, which means “I see you” in Spanish.
- Proyecto Te Veo provides education and vocational training to women through Centro Te Veo, a community center in the Dominican Republic. For the past fourteen years, Project I See You has been working with women in the Dominican Republic to create new opportunities for education and employment.
