Roice-Hurst Humane Society is a nonprofit animal shelter in western Colorado that provides individualized care and adoption services for dogs and cats. Each year, close to 1,000 lost or homeless pets receive the care they need at Roice-Hurst, and hundreds more are served through Roice-Hurst’s programs designed to help pet owners keep and care for their beloved pets. Programs include a pet pantry, low-cost vaccination clinics, spay/neuter assistance, pet behavior counseling, a crisis pet boarding program, and Homeward Hounds, which provides dignified shelter for people experiencing homelessness with their pets. Roice-Hurst Humane Society also operates a satellite facility in Delta, Colorado, allowing lost and found pets to return home safely. Roice-Hurst is a socially-conscious animal shelter that works diligently to match animals to their forever homes, however long that may take.

We know that human and pet health is profoundly interconnected, which is why our innovative programs are designed to not only get pets into loving homes, but to keep them there through our variety of social support services for pet owners.
