Testimonials

The RMFU Foundation has a long history of providing educational programs and resources to youth and adults. Here is what a few of our participants say about their experiences:
"RMFU Cooperative Leadership Camp helped evolve my leadership skills as well as my knowledge on issues that impact me personally and my community, including agriculture, renewable energy, active citizenship, community advocacy and stewardship. RMFU helped create great memories and lifelong friends." -Tim Maul, Starr Scholar at Michigan State Univeristy.
"My husband Virgil and I were in the first Fellows Class in the early 1980's. It was an opportunity to develop important skills for future leaders. I gained leadership skills and experience as well as learning more about the scope of Farmers Union and its many programs, all while learning from others in our Fellows Class. I know the experience was instrumental in me running for the board and becoming more involved in the organization." -Jan Kochis, Chair of the RMFU Board of Directors.
"Receiving the RMFU Maurice Parker Memorial Scholarship allowed me to focus on my studies during college. Personally, it was an honor to receive this scholarship which is named after a former vice president of RMFU who also served as a state senator." -Kaprice Franke, RMFU Scholarship Recipient.
