Rain Basketball is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving youth athletes in the Denver area. We offer a range of training programs, including AAU club teams, Skills Academy, and seasonal skill camps, designed to meet the needs of players at every level—from beginners to advanced athletes. Each program is tailored not only to develop athletic abilities but also to cultivate essential life skills that empower youth on the court and in life.
At Rain Basketball, our commitment goes beyond just the game. Driven by our vision to ensure that all aspiring athletes remain connected to resources that will positively shape their future, we believe that no athlete should be turned away due to financial limitations.
Each year, Rain Basketball allocates over $70,000 in funding to our Scholarship Program, supporting children who would otherwise face barriers to participation—helping over 150 families in the process. Our goal is to reinforce this impact on a larger scope and increase the total number of athletes we support, with your help.
Your support will directly impact the financial scholarships our program provides to families in need; 95% allocated to athletes and less than 5% directed toward staff expenses.
Rain Basketball's mission is to ensure youth athletes from all socioeconomic backgrounds have equal access to top-tier basketball training programs, while providing the resources needed to enhance skill development, foster teamwork, and promote personal growth. Our goal is to help empower young individuals through the game of basketball, setting the stage for a new generation of leaders both on and off the court.
Rain Basketball was founded in 2018 with a clear vision: to ensure no athlete is turned away due to financial limitations, while making high-level basketball training more accessible to all aspiring youth. We are committed to offering equal access to programs that not only foster athletic development, but equip athletes with the tools needed to succeed both on and off the court.
The organization was originally formed in Orange County, California by Stephen Beseda. Recognizing the need for greater access to top-tier sports programs, he expanded Rain Basketball’s reach to serve more communities. Today, the program has chapters in Las Vegas, Inland Empire, Treasure Valley, and Denver.
