Your generous support of the American Red Cross of Colorado:

Facilitates collection and distribution of critical blood for those in need in Colorado.
Provides physical and mental health services to disaster survivors and military members.
Provides other critical services to local veterans, military members and their loved ones.
Offers disaster preparedness to our local communities across Colorado.
Shelters and feeds our neighbors who have been impacted by a disaster (home fire, wildfire and other emergencies).
Educates the public in lifesaving skills (CPR, AED, First Aid, Caregiving, Water Safety and more).
Provides international humanitarian aid.

Mission

The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.

Background Statement

Founded in 1881, the American Red Cross is among the oldest human service organizations in the United States. In 1905, the U.S. Congress chartered the Red Cross to mitigate suffering caused by disasters. The American Red Cross of Colorado has been a vital part of the community since 1914 and serves all residents of Colorado through four chapters: Mile High Area, Southeastern Colorado, Western Colorado and Northern Colorado.
