Retired Employees of Cherry Creek Schools (RECCS)

RECCS is committed to supporting the post secondary education of students graduating from the Cherry Creek School District. We annually award scholarships in three categories: Merit, Adversity and Career or Technical Education.

Mission

The mission of RECCS is to provide scholarships to deserving graduates of the high schools in the Cherry Creek School District, while supporting the welfare and interests of retired Cherry Creek School District personnel.

Background Statement

RECCS was established in 2006. In 2008 we awarded two $500 scholarships. Over the years, due to the generosity of our members and other community support, we have been able to expand the number of scholarships and the amount of money we award for each one.

2009 - Two $1,000 scholarships

2010 - Six $2,000 scholarships and two $1,000 scholarships

2011 - Twelve $2,500 scholarships

2012 - Nine $2,500 scholarships

2013 - Eleven $2,500 scholarships

2014 - Twelve $2,500 scholarships

2015 - Ten $2,500 scholarships

2016 - Eleven $2,500 scholarships

2017- Thirteen $2,500 scholarships

2018 & 2019- Ten $2,500 scholarships

2020- Eleven $2,500 scholarships

2021- Ten $2,500 scholarships

2022-2024 - Twelve $3,000 scholarships

In 2012 and 2013 the Blue Sky Fund funded one scholarship in each year.

Since RECCS started funding scholarships in 2008, has awarded more than $386,500 in scholarships.
