Rise Above Violence

A nonprofit organization

Rise Above Violence envisions our community, our schools and our homes to be safe, where everyone has the opportunity to thrive without fear of abuse. By addressing safety and urgent needs of victims in crisis, as well as responding to the many lingering challenges survivors must overcome to heal and recover, Rise supports over 400 women, men and children annually.

A monthly gift helps to sustain programs that support victims.

Together we'll Rise Above Violence

Mission

Rise promotes the belief that all people have the right to live free from violence by providing support and advocacy services for victims as well as education for youth and our community. Through support and advocacy services, victims/survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault receive comprehensive help from crisis through healing.

From emergency 24-hour response, to long-term financial support for housing, legal representation and court accompaniment, advocates work to ensure safety and stability of victims and their children.

Beyond victim services, Rise works to prevent violence before it starts. Our youth violence prevention education reaches students from elementary through high school, addressing anti-bullying and internet safety for younger students, to healthy relationships for dating youth.
