Mission
Our mission is why we show up to work
The mission of RiseUp Community School is to engage young people who have previously dropped out of school or are at risk of dropping out in a supportive learning environment that holds each student to high expectations, cultivates social justice, and inspires every student to achieve a high school diploma and become prepared for college and careers after graduation.
Background Statement
RiseUp began in 2014 with the goal of simply helping to seal the cracks in education. We have developed into a place where students, who have felt out of place and without a school, can find a home. We still prioritize serving those students who have fallen through the cracks, and provide them with an education steeped in real world experiences and connections to future paths.
