Denver Lions Early Learning Center (DLELC), a project of the Denver Lions Club, provides comprehensive daycare for children of low-income families in a safe and clean learning environment at low cost.  The Denver Lions Early Learning Center is raising funds to replace a 60 year old daycare center.  The new learning center will provide educational opportunities for up to 140 children, from infant to 5 years old.  It is located in the Sun Valley area, the lowest income neighborhood in Denver, and offers a much-needed service for working parents.

It is located in the Sun Valley area, the lowest income neighborhood in Denver and offers a much needed service for working parents.

Background Statement

The Denver Lions Club built the new daycare in 1958 on 1275 Decatur St in Denver. The Lions managed the daycare until 1972. In In 1972 to present Mile High Child Care Association (Now known as Mile High Early Learning) has provided the curriculum and Staffing. In 2020, plans were developed to build a new facility. In 2021 The Denver Lions Early Learning Capital Campaign Committee was formed to raise $7 million to build a new state-of-the-art facility to serve over 140 children in the Sun Valley District. The new facility would triple the amount of children we currently serve!
