San Luis Valley Behavioral Health Group (SLVBHG) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health and substance use services across Colorado’s San Luis Valley. Serving the six rural counties of Alamosa, Conejos, Costilla, Mineral, Rio Grande, and Saguache, our mission is to provide access to quality behavioral health services that enrich lives and promote wellness. At SLVBHG, we empower individuals and families to achieve wellness and recovery by addressing mental health challenges and supporting substance use recovery.
For over 50 years, SLVBHG has been committed to delivering compassionate care through a wide range of services, including crisis intervention, outpatient therapy, peer support, school-based mental health programs, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and wrap-around support. We believe that access to quality behavioral health care is essential for creating a thriving community, and we work tirelessly to eliminate barriers to care, ensuring that everyone—regardless of financial or social circumstances—can get the support they need.
As a trusted community partner, we collaborate with local organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and law enforcement to foster a continuum of care that addresses the unique needs of the San Luis Valley, a region that has been historically marginalized and faces significant challenges in health equity, access to services, and socio-economic opportunities.
With your support, we can continue to offer hope, recovery, and healing to those in need while driving systemic change to address the root causes of mental health and substance use challenges.
