The San Luis Valley Museum was established in 1993 and is a nonprofit 501(c)3 corporation. Our mission is to enrich human lives and to educate our visitors to respect and value our local cultural diversity and heritage around the San Luis Valley and beyond. We serve a broad community base and feature a wide variety of international wildlife, art, historical artifacts, native plat life, and educational programs throughout the year. We are located at 401 Hunt Avenue, Alamosa, Colorado and are open to the general public from 10am to 4pm, Tuesday through Saturday.
