Show and Tell Corporation

A nonprofit organization

Show and Tell exists to provide parents, particularly Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) parents, and youth with information and training about disabilities; parent and children's rights under the IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) and other relevant laws; and resources in the state of Colorado.  The Show and Tell staff provides information and skills by educating parents through advising calls, trainings, workshops, collaborating with other agencies, and a comprehensive offering of resources through our website and bi-monthly e-blasts.

Mission

To inform and empower ALL families particularly BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) families to speak on behalf of their children who have disabilities and special healthcare needs so they can become contributing members of their community.

Background Statement

Show and Tell is a 501(c)(3) parent-driven organization founded in 2019 and is the sister organization of THRIVE Center, formerly known as the Denver Metro Community Parent Resource Center which has been around for 17 years. Show and Tell is in the process of merging both organization into one with Show and Tell as the surviving entity. The founding executive director for both organizations successfully provides support and services to families, particularly BIPOC (Black, Ingenious and People of Color) families, that have children with disabilities.
