Our commitment lies in empowering individuals to surmount obstacles, fostering lasting change. We are dedicated to nurturing self-sufficiency and preserving dignity by providing the necessary support and resources for individuals to break free from the cycle of poverty.

We offer a free online course that equips people with tools and practical strategies essential to taking a next step toward meaningful employment. Each Job Seeker gains access to a network of employment and life resources and is paired with a 1:1 Success Coach that helps them get the most out of the program.

We hold that authentic connections within the communities we serve can propel positive change that extends beyond mere material assistance. We aim to instill a genuine sense of care within our community and cultivate an environment conducive to the prosperity of all.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is rooted in an understanding that poverty is not solely the result of individual choices, but rather an intricate interplay of systemic issues and structural barriers that hinder equitable access to opportunities and resources. We understand that the path towards a brighter future is filled with obstacles and lacking in resources, even more so for historically marginalized people.  We believe that changes in the labor market, such as the expansion of low-wage work, the erosion of pathways from low- to mid-wage jobs, the lack of affordable childcare, the lack of affordable housing, historic levels of inflation, and the prevalence of jobs that do not pay family-sustaining wages, puts Job Seekers in a precarious situation.

We also believe that no situation is hopeless. Our efficient, online, employment training platform increases accessibility and connectivity, a crucial component that eliminates barriers for Job Seekers and the people who want to create positive changes in their community.

We believe that supportive relationships enhance the capacity to adapt and thrive in the face of adversity, which is why each Job Seeker in our program is paired with a 1:1 Success Coach who walks alongside them as they work to establish and achieve their short-term and long-term employment goals.

Holistic Approach: We take a holistic approach to poverty alleviation, addressing not only immediate needs but also focusing on long-term solutions that empower individuals to chart their own course to success.

Personalized Support: Every individual we serve is unique, and so is our approach. Through personalized support and targeted resources, we aim to address the specific challenges faced by each person on their journey to self-sufficiency.

Community Empowerment: We foster genuine connections within the communities we serve, recognizing that positive change is not only about material assistance but also about building supportive networks that uplift everyone.

Impact: Our program returns $7.4 of job income impact per $1 invested.

Giving Activity

Mission

Help SNAP2Jobs participants gain self-sufficiency through workforce training, 1:1 success coaching, and access to a network of employment and life resources.

Background Statement

In July 2021, this vision came to life as we launched PrismXL and our inaugural program, SNAP2Jobs, where those in poverty, impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and enrolled in programs such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) could access tools to help them find a well-paying, self-sustaining job.

The pandemic deepened the stark inequalities that already existed amongst communities of color, disadvantaged populations and nutritionally challenged communities across the Denver metro area. Access to livable wages and good jobs were already scarce before these communities were, once again, dealt a devastating blow to their livelihoods.

We saw this need and wanted to meaningfully improve lives by providing programming to meet folks where they are at. Our services meet today’s economic challenges as we continue to rebuild and heal from the devastating effects of the pandemic.
