Testimonials

Reviews from our Facebook page:

I have fostered for several rescues and hands down, this is the best rescue I have ever worked with! Not only do they do adoptions, but they provide so much more. Spaying and neutering is the only way to control the pet population. They help animals and their people. They spend so much time traveling to the rez and saving so many animals. They truly are rescue!

This is an awesome organization! I am very thankful that our Rez dogs have really great people who come out & donate their time to help control the dog & cat population. Please spay or neuter your pet!!

SOUL DOG... can not say enough great things about this org. The life saving missions are incredible and the spay and neuter clinics attack the over population problem at its core. Please adopt from and donate to Soul Dog!

These are some hardworking, dedicated people. They care so much about the animals they rescue.

Mission

To humanely control the pet overpopulation problem through focused and aggressive spay/neuter programs in under-served communities. To partner with the communities where we work in order to create sustainable change through education and community buy-in.

Background Statement

Soul Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue organization founded in 2011 with the mission to spay/neuter and protect animals. We are committed to making a difference in the lives of companion animals, one animal at a time. All donations made to Soul Dog Rescue go directly to improving the health of the pets that share our lives.

Soul Dog is proactive in animal welfare, advancing the need for spaying and neutering our pets to reduce overpopulation. We travel to rural communities on Native American reservations, where spaying and neutering will only happen if it is nearly free or very convenient. Soul Dog works with volunteer veterinarians to provide the spaying and neutering service at no cost on the reservations. Donations are used to defray the costs associated with medications, supplies, and the operating cost for clinics.

In 2018, we acquired a spay/neuter clinic and animal shelter in Fort Lupton, Colorado. At the clinic, we provide low-cost spay/neuter services for other rescue groups and for the public. We also spay/neuter Soul Dog Rescue's dogs and cats at the clinic before they are available for adoption. We take care of homeless animals at our new shelter and also rely on our foster parents who lovingly care for dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens until they are ready for spay/neuter and adoption. We hold adoption events most weekends to find forever homes for our rescued animals. Our cats are available for adoption at several PetSmart stores in the Denver metro area.
