Background Statement
Stork Support of Northern Colorado's founder, Lisa Jensen, created the organization shortly after the birth of her first child when she found her family without an income unexpectedly. Lisa had support around her but it made her realize many others in our community don't. So she began to get in touch with mothers-to-be on Facebook groups and asking them what they were in need of in order to feel "ready" for the arrival of their child. As her own son was outgrowing diapers and clothes, she gifted these to the moms who needed them more than she did.
She started to collect these free items from others and delivered them to the families who were in need.
And so, Stork Support of Northern Colorado was created.
When Lisa and her family were planning on relocating to Germany, Nikola knew she could not let Stork Support close its doors. Instead, she took over operations and turned Stork Support into a 501(c)3.
