The Suddenly Pink Foundation focuses on individuals in the seven-county Denver Metropolitan Area (Adams, Arapahoe,Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, and Jefferson) who are facing extraordinary financial burdens while going through breast cancer treatment. Our mission is to help those people/families that are going through this tough journey, by paying their rent or house payment, childcare, car payments, groceries and other expenses they may need help with. Many have exhausted their sick leave, have young children at home, can't pay for their living space, or have additional needs. The breast cancer battle is a tough one, and it helps to have someone stand with you in the fight. Please join us in our mission to help these warriors! Together we can make a difference for someone going through treatment that needs help to make that journey a little easier. The Suddenly Pink Foundation is proud to say that we are supported by The Cancer League of Colorado.
Our mission is to provide monetary support to individuals currently receiving medical treatment for Breast Cancer who are experiencing extenuating financial hardships or circumstances in the seven-county Denver Metropolitan Area.
In 2015, Barb was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and became one of the many who are “suddenly pink”. While experiencing the pain and trauma of treatment programs, she listened to and witnessed many heart wrenching stories from others traveling her same journey . Barb was fortunate enough to have a strong support system, but was touched so deeply by the stories she heard, that she began to look for ways she could make a difference in someone else’s journey. With the help of friends and family, she was able to start the Suddenly Pink Foundation, which is modeled after the Sue Miller Day of Caring.
