Life skills are essentially those abilities that help promote mental well-being and competence in young people as they face the realities of life. They are NECESSARY and having opportunities to develop these all throughout their development years is crucial. TAILS of Transformation provides programs, partnering with horses, that allow our youth to experience a learning environment where they can develop these life skills. By learning with horses, we are able to provide a safe and comfortable space (horses are able to mirror our emotions, do not judge, and offer a different learning experience than a classroom or office) while participants explore obstacles and "new" ways to cope or work through life's many challenges. Discussing how these experiences connect with their everyday lives helps them keep growing, leading to a more successful future.

TAILS is a place to heal, to work through challenges, to grow and learn how you feel about yourself and others, and to find your most confident self for a healthy future. Problem-solving, setting healthy boundaries, critical thinking, empathy, communication, and many other skills can be developed—all at your own pace and with the support of a horse partner.
