We are a diverse group of thought-leaders on a mission to educate, inspire, and stimulate change, with the ultimate goal being deep discussion and action across our communities.
We accomplish this mission each year through large-scale events, immersive adventures, and our digital media content. Since 2011, 100,000 people have attended our events, 300 speakers and performers have taken our stage, and our talks have been viewed more than 150 million times online.
We know that it is absolutely critical to spread big ideas that are available 24/7, free to all around the globe, and based on the most pressing and critical issues facing our planet. We are a community of thinkers, creators, and activists with a core belief that ideas can change the world, and the TEDxMileHigh stage is a catalyst for that change.
TEDxMileHigh accelerates innovation and social impact through the power of big ideas, transformative live events, and empowered digital communities.
TEDxMileHigh is a nonprofit serving Colorado since 2010. TEDxMileHigh is made possible by the work and effort of the broader community: inspiring attendees, the efforts of thousands of hours from a large, committed team, deep involvement from partners and sponsors, and a wealth of brilliant innovators in Colorado who donate their time, energy, and talents to contribute to "Ideas Worth Spreading."
Started as a four-day conference in California 30 years ago, TED has grown to support its mission with multiple initiatives. TED Conferences invite the world's leading thinkers and doers to give the talk of their lives. These talks are then made available, free, at TED.com.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
