The Fax Partnership

The Fax recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, working to preserve what makes East Colfax so unique by supporting the businesses and residents in a community under pressure from gentrification and increasing costs. Some of The Fax’s highlights for the past year include:  

• Hosted a back to school fair where we distributed over 600 supply filled backpacks for kids in the community, 

• Our Residential Support Office helped over 600 unique residents with access to local resources, application assistance, and our food and diaper pantry. 

• Supported 50 local businesses in applying for loans and grants to be better prepared for the changes the BRT development will bring. 

• Hosted tax clinics that saved the community over $100k in deductions that otherwise could have been overlooked. 

• The Fax is also continuing its stewardship of local motels, converting them into shelters, and will begin re-developing these sites into affordable housing in the coming years.
