Therapies for Hope Inc

A nonprofit organization

Therapies for Hope provides customized therapy programs to help children with intellectual, social, language, and physical disabilities develop the skills and confidence to reach their full potential.

During our week-long Therapy Intensives, we group children together based on age, diagnosis, current capability, and developmental need. Dedicated therapists work with the group and with each individual child toward their specific goals. These therapists specialize in Physical, Occupational, Speech, Music, Art, and Behavior and work together to maximize the growth of each child.

Mission

The mission of Therapies for Hope is to provide interdisciplinary therapy ‘intensives’ for children with intellectual, social, language and physical disabilities, to focus on families from historically underserved communities in the Greater Denver Area, to ensure those children develop the skills and confidence to reach their full potential as individuals and members of their communities, and to address the unique challenges and needs of the entire family by providing a mix of therapeutic, educational, and respite services to developmentally disabled and delayed children, their siblings, parents, and guardians.

Background Statement

The founding of Therapies for Hope in 2021 arose out of a lack of diversity, equity and inclusiveness in the Denver and Colorado spheres of intensive therapies for developmentally disabled and delayed children and their siblings. Therapies of Hope is premised upon the defined need for this unique and very successful intensive therapy model among BIPOC families and children living with low income and historically underserved communities throughout Colorado. One hundred percent (100%) of families served are living with low income, as determined by family participation in Medicaid, SNAP (food stamp) benefits and/or free and reduced lunch programs.

Therapies for Hope steps into this programming arena with more than 50 years of collective experience across the staff. Our Executive Director has over 25 years of organizational management and leadership including as executive director of a leading Colorado agency serving developmentally disabled children and our Program Director also has more than 25 years’ experience in serving developmentally disabled and delayed populations and siblings.
