The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) is the national organization providing compassionate care for the families of America’s fallen military heroes. TAPS provides peer-based emotional support, grief and trauma resources, grief seminars for adults, Good Grief Camps for children, case work assistance, connections to community-based care, and a 24/7 resource and information helpline for all who have been affected by a military death.
Services are provided free of charge.
The number of those needing TAPS support continues to rise each year with an average of 26 new military survivors connecting with us each day. In 2023, 9,611 newly bereaved connected with TAPS. These survivors’ primary traumatic loss has in recent years been further compounded by stressors arising out of global pandemic, persistent conflicts, and disasters. Now more than ever, the families of America's fallen heroes need our support.
With your support in key program areas identified below, we can ensure the living legacies of America’s fallen heroes experience the ideals of peace, freedom, and prosperity for which their loved ones so nobly served to defend.
