Mission

CTR is a social work and social justice agency that utilizes an invested, cooperative, and accountable team approach. Our mission is to create physical and emotional safety, promote a health centered environment, and engage with the complexities of diversity.

CTR serves:

- All types of crime (with or without a police report)

- All adults regardless of race, language, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability, income or residency status

- Any persons who have experienced trauma or crime (does not have to be current)

Background Statement

The Center for Trauma & Resilience provides services to all survivors of crime who live in, or who were victimized in the city of Denver, including: victims of child physical and sexual abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, elder abuse, homicide, mass violence incidents, DUI, robbery, assault, gang-related activity, and stalking.

CTR's helpline program provides survivors with access to direct victim services that address their emotional, psychological, and physical needs, stabilize their lives after victimization, assist them in understanding and navigating the criminal justice system, restore their safety and security, and afford them their victim rights.

Survivors receive emotional support, crisis intervention, case management, trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioral therapy by licensed clinicians (on-site at our wheelchair accessible location and in home as requested), support groups, health and wellness services, advocacy, financial assistance and information and referrals.

CTR counselors are licensed and trained in trauma-informed care, EMDR, trauma-certified yoga, acudetox acupuncture (for PTSD and addiction issues), and/or Reiki, all to address a wide range of complex victimizations and needs.
