Tri-State/Denver Buddhist Temple

A nonprofit organization

Tri-State/Denver Buddhist Temple (TSDBT) provides teaching, learning, and practice of the Buddhist Dharma to all who are interested. Our practice is held within a Sangha, or learning community, which supports and encourages individuals to follow the path of the Dharma, built on the foundational principle that we are all interconnected. Our offerings are open to everyone who is interested and include regular Sunday services at the Denver Buddhist Temple (also available through live-streaming), free online Buddhist study classes, meditational listening sessions, and Dharma School for preschool through high school aged children.

Through the practice of Dana, selfless giving without expectation, our Buddhist Dana Association supports both the Temple community and the cities and broader communities where we live and work, through programs like our annual food drive for Metro Caring and the organizing and volunteer staffing of the annual Cherry Blossom Festival celebrating Japanese American history and culture in Colorado. We currently have temples or sanghas in Denver, Brighton, Fort Lupton, La Jara/Alamosa, and Sedgwick, Colorado, which serve members who live in Colorado, Nebraska, and New Mexico.

Founded in 1916, the Tri-State/Denver Buddhist Temple has served the greater Colorado area ever since. The temple keeps alive the memories of those who have come before us, rooted in the culture of Japanese-Americans and their Japanese ancestors, while welcoming in people of all backgrounds who wish to be a part of our community and continue to bring the practice of the Dharma into the future.

Your donation provides needed funds to keep the Denver Buddhist Temple and its satellite locations operational and allows us to provide free educational, community, and cultural support services. Thank you for considering TSDBT for your support!
