True North is a non-profit organization based in Steamboat Springs, CO, dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities. Clients can enjoy recreational activities such as day trips, shopping, gardening, arts and crafts, games, cultural and educational programming, and exercise. Additionally, True North provides job coaching to support clients seeking employment opportunities in the community. True North collaborates with organizations like STARS, Colorado Mountain College (CMC), Old Town Hot Springs(OTHS), and businesses in town. Hahn Erickson,the Executive Director of True North, coordinates schedules with STARS during the summer so clients can participate seamlessly in both programs.He works with the ACCESS program at CMC to register clients for life skills classes at CMC and computer time for research projects. He schedules the clients to attend a weekly exercise class led by a trainer at the OTHS. He assists in matching clients with organizations for volunteer and job placement.
