Una Mano, Una Esperanza

A nonprofit organization

Una Mano Una Esperanza was created to connect Latino, mostly immigrant, Spanish speakers to important resources and help them navigate systems needed to live in this country. Our programming is ever-expanding to meet the needs expressed to us by our communities. Some of our current programs include:

  • Supporting a cohort of community navigators to develop themselves professionally and self-advocate for just wages and working conditions
  • Advocacy for victims of domestic violence, wage theft and other crimes
  • Resource & systems navigation (SNAP applications, healthcare system, court system, emergency assistance)
  • Educational offerings in partnership with other organizations
  • Support groups for community members (FFN early childhood care providers, victims of crime, leaders in community, elders)
  • Elders support group (activities like yoga, Zumba, healthy cooking, grocery shopping, etc.)
  • Justice and equity trainings for parents
  • Health and vaccination clinics

Mission

Una Mano, Una Esperanza is an organization that inspires the Latino community to navigate systems in the United States. We support victims of crime during and after trauma and come alongside them as they go through the process of finding justice.

We believe in the power of prevention and supporting individuals to create healthy communication, healthy relationships and healthy families.
