Testimonials

Since our inception in 2015, we have helped over 200 Colorado veterans with mental or physical disabilities find a new teammate (the dog), a new mission (to train with their partner) and renewed purpose through our unique client-focused training program. Our google reviews (4.6 out of 5 stars) shows our positive impact with our clients and volunteers, but it is the personal testaments from our clients who tell us we have saved their lives through our program that invigorates our motivation to help more Colorado veterans!
Those veterans who have successfully completed our training program have gone on to become college students working towards degrees and future careers, found part-time or full-time jobs that allow them to bring their dog and improve their confidence and well-being while also benefiting the local community with their experience, and most important--regained their motivation to live, to be a part of the local community, and to ensure their new partner in life has a great time too. Just go to our website to read some of the testimonials written by our clients or stop by our facility--you will see the impact in action as we work to make Colorado a great place for our veterans and to start turning the tide on veteran suicides. Thank you for your support.

Mission

The mission of Victory Service Dogs is to improve the quality of life for veterans with PTSD or other mental or mobility issues through the partnership with a loving service dog, so they can achieve a more fulfilling life of increased independence, purpose, and dignity.

Background Statement

Victory Service Dogs, Inc. was founded in late 2015 by veterans with the fundamental mission of dramatically improving the quality of life for, and in many cases saving the life of, U.S. military veterans living in Colorado who are diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other mental or physical challenges by providing service dog companion training and support services. For veterans with these medical conditions, oftentimes a service dog can be the critical piece of "medical equipment" that gives the veteran the ability and confidence to advance their independence and happiness, but cost (since trained service dogs are not provided by the Veterans Administration and estimated to cost between $20,000 - $30,000 each) and access have always been deterrents. Victory Service Dogs is dedicated to overcoming those hurdles for veterans in need. In addition, our training program is unique because during the 18-24 month training process that we do in-house, the veteran AND the dog are a training team at all training sessions, so both get the positive reinforcement and structure needed to enhance their bonds and improve their mental well-being.
