The Village Institute

A nonprofit organization

The Village Institute is a holistic family support center for refugee and immigrant families in Northwest Aurora, Colorado. We help families build wealth, worth, and well-being by bringing family advocacy, resource navigation, career readiness training, early childhood education, and mental health services all under one roof.

Founded in 2020, The Village Institute has created a unique community for refugee and immigrant families, specifically women and children. We started as a small initiative with a big vision - to help refugee families build wealth, worth, and wellbeing by eliminating barriers like access to education, creating wealth building opportunities through workforce programs, and addressing holistic mental health needs. Over the years, we have experimented, learned, and refined our programming.

Today, our core work includes:

- The Little Village early learning center and teacher training program

- Our Village Futures peer mental health and workforce development program

- Ecosystem-building to provide more holistic support to refugee and immigrant families
