Mission:

The Weld Legacy Foundation promotes excellence in health and education in Weld County.

Service Area:
Greeley, Weld County, and the surrounding region.

Funding Sources:

Corporate and individual sponsorships through Weld Legacy Foundation special events, major gifts cultivation and solicitation, direct mail, and online giving. Donate on Colorado Gives Day, December 10, 2024; Colorado’s largest 24-hour giving event.

Goals:

Weld Legacy Foundation has been supporting the health-related needs of the Weld County community since 1975. We’ve provided more than $50 million in philanthropic support for hospital expansion and renovation projects at North Colorado Medical Center (NCMC), technological upgrades to benefit patient care, educational opportunities for staff, easing patient burdens through patient support funds, scholarships for aspiring healthcare professionals; and will continue to support the established endowments and restricted funds with years of history that benefit programs and patients of NCMC.

We also support health and education-focused nonprofits in Weld County by partnering to give them the tools and resources they need to increase their capacity.

Giving Opportunities:
The Weld Legacy Foundation is committed to providing support that focuses necessary philanthropy behind compelling initiatives such as Bright Futures; Curtis Strong Center for the Visually Impaired; Heart Safe City; Hospitality House at NCMC; Monfort Children’s Clinic; NCMC Breast Center; Patient Support Funds; and the Will Rothman Family Chaplaincy.

Patient Testimonials:

"The Weld Legacy Foundation has a long-standing history of supporting healthcare programs in the community.  Through our generous donors, Weld Legacy Foundation raises funds to assist North Colorado Medical Center with department needs, continuing education for staff, and provides support for qualifying patients with living costs whild they are undergoing treatment at NCMC.  I enjoy serving on the Weld Legacy Foundation Board which improves patient support and care in our community."
