Testimonials

For undergrad, I'm planning to pursue some combination of international studies, political science, and economics while continuing to study Arabic. I plan to get both a BA and MA in international studies at the Korbel School at the University of Denver; this is made possible by the support of the Wheat Ridge PTSA, as a PTSA scholarship recipient, and the Boettcher Foundation, as a Boettcher Scholar. After DU I plan to go to law school, possibly serve in the armed forces, and continue to develop my global perspective. I'm proud of the positive impact I've already had in my community, and am so grateful for the financial and community support from Wheat Ridge PTSA to further my education and expand a platform to affect change. Without the PTSA, not only their gift of this scholarship but also in their support all throughout high school, my future would not be as achievable. Thank you Wheat Ridge High School Parent Teachers Student Association!
Abbie McAdams, Wheat Ridge High School Senior 2020

I would like to thank the PTSA for both the opportunity to be a part of the organization as well as
to be able to apply for this scholarship.
I also would like to thank the Scholarship Committee, any donors, and any others in the Wheat
Ridge community for their contributions to the Scholarship, especially in this time of uncertainty
caused by the Covid-19 Pandemic.
This scholarship money will be used next year when I attend Colorado Mesa University to study
business and filmmaking, to buy textbooks and other necessary equipment for classes.
I will miss Wheat Ridge High School and the Wheat Ridge community while in Grand Junction
and am thankful for all the experiences I got while in the community.
Go Farmers!
John Schreiner, 2020 Graduate of Wheat Ridge High School

Thank you again for funding this scholarship. This financial support will help me pay for books and equipment necessary for my intended major in Business Economics. I will deeply miss the Wheat Ridge community, which has provided me with opportunities like this. By awarding me this scholarship you have lessened the financial burden which allows me to be able to focus on my education and gymnastics, and put all my energy into doing well in classes. Your generosity is allowing be to make my goals and dreams a reality. I hope in turn one day I'll be able to give back and help other students achieve their goals.
