Mission:
To collaborate with and provide direction to key stakeholders to ensure all user groups, machine or muscle powered, have sustainable and equitable access to designated trails in Eagle County, Colorado.
Vision:
To be an effective team that guides the establishment of summer and winter access while protecting wildlife.
Background Statement:
The Wildridge Trail Coalition is dedicated to enhancing and preserving outdoor recreational opportunities in our community. Since our inception, we have fostered strong partnerships with local stakeholders, including private donors, the Berry Creek Metro District, and the Singletree Homeowners Association, which have been instrumental in supporting our mission.
Notably, in collaboration with the Town of Avon and the Forest Service, we successfully applied for and received the 2022-2023 Colorado Parks and Wildlife Off-Highway Vehicle Program State Trail Grant. This prestigious grant, along with matching funds from the Town of Avon and generous in-kind contributions from the Forest Service, allowed us to carry out a vital heavy maintenance project on FS Rd. 779 (Metcalf Creek Road) during the summer of 2023. This project not only improved trail conditions but also enhanced access for our community and visitors, solidifying our commitment to sustainable outdoor recreation.
Our ongoing efforts reflect our dedication to maintaining and improving the natural landscapes that provide us with so much enjoyment.
