Unlike site-based programs, our mobile model brings recreation to the people who need it most, partnering with hospitals, VA centers, parks, and recreation agencies to create sustainable programs where adaptive sports don’t otherwise exist.

We bring progressive outdoor adventures to individuals with physical disabilities and their families, regardless of location, equipment needs or economic status.

Background Statement

Adaptive Adventures is a Colorado-based 501(c)(3) founded in 1999 by a group of individuals with physical disabilities who saw a need for an adaptive sports organization that not only focused on fitness and independence, but also on the social and community aspects of participation in sports.
