Bicycles for Humanity Colorado has started 10 sustainable bike shops in communities in Namibia, Zambia, and Tanzania. While there are common themes that unite all of these communities, each community is different. We support local groups to help craft solutions that work locally.
Poor transport systems mean poor access to healthcare, education and economic opportunities. Bicycles delivered through community based bike shops provide sustainable mobility solutions for rural Africans. People can travel 3 times as far, 3 times as fast, and carry 3 times as much vs. being on foot. To date B4H Colorado has delivered over 17,000 bikes to small communities in Namibia, Zambia, Kenya and Tanzania; creating jobs and schools along the way.
Together, we are changing the world two wheels at a time.
